Making sure your website gets found
A problem that many businesses have is that their website isn't attracting enough visitors or keeping the ones that they do get. Often, simplifying the code and making the site more accessible to search engines is all that is needed. Don't be lured by promises of getting your site to #1 in Google. There are some search engine marketing companies who will use techniques that in the long run may damage your business and charge you the earth for the privilege. Nobody can guarantee you the outcome of search engine optimization on your site. It's very often not so much a question of putting things in or employing special techniques but of making very clear to search engines just what your website is all about and exactly where everything is. There is nothing more mind boggling to this than there is to adequately signposting a road system. What's good for users is very often what's also good for search engines.
